This month we continue with our communication to support the YCDSB’s Active School Travel initiative. In the month of March, we promote bus safety. Walking to the school bus stop and riding the bus to school are considered important forms of active school travel. Immunizations against Hepatitis B, Human papillomavirus (HPV) and Meningococcal infection are routinely offered to students in grade 7 through an in-school immunization program run by York Region Public Health (YRPH). For the 2024-2025 school year, YRPH Immunization Clinic program is offering student-catch up immunization clinics to students in grades 7 in elementary schools for these important routine vaccines.
