Family Literacy Day takes place every January 27th to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. This year’s theme is “Make mealtime family learning time,” encouraging families to use mealtimes for reading recipes, making lists, and sharing stories to build literacy skills together; ABC Life Literacy Canada and local libraries host events, promoting fun ways to learn as a family.
