This year the York Catholic District School Board celebrates Treaty Recognition Week from November 3-9, 2024. The YCDSB recognizes Treaty Recognition Week as part of an ongoing journey of healing and reconciliation. As we continue this journey together, we gratefully acknowledge that York Catholic schools rest on traditional territory of Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat.
At St. Elizabeth Seton CES, we recognize our part in truth and reconciliation. This week, our classes will continue to learn about and explore the importance of treaties, of learning and the need for understanding. We also acknowledged our role to ensure that treaties are honoured. We look forward to displaying some of our learning in our front foyer for all to learn more about.
