We are thrilled to announce that our school has been chosen to participate in this year’s Paint-a-Plow contest for National Public Works Week! On Monday, April 27, a snowplow will be delivered to our school for students, in Ms. Piane’s Grade 5 class, to transform into a masterpiece based on the theme “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community.” Our finished design will be displayed at the Family Fun Day on May 23, where attendees can vote for us to win the “Pylon Pete” trophy, $200 Michaels gift card, and a pizza lunch. After the contest, the Grade 5’s artwork will remain on the plow as it clears snow across the Region next winter. We can’t wait to showcase our students’ creativity and community spirit!
