Immunizations against Hepatitis B, Human papillomavirus (HPV) and Meningococcal infection are routinely offered to students in grade 7 through an in-school immunization program run by York Region Public Health (YRPH). For the 2024-2025 school year, YRPH Immunization Clinic program is offering student-catch up immunization clinics to students in grades 7 in elementary schools for these important routine vaccines. Our Spring Immunization date will be on Monday, April 28th. This year the YRPH immunization program will continue using the electronic immunization consent forms. Electronic consent forms will be submitted directly to and stored securely by YRPH. A link to the electronic consent form was made available to parents in a Parent Memo that was sent to parents of students in grades 7 and 8 in September 2024 by YRPH. Consent forms submitted in the fall of 2024 remain valid for spring vaccine doses. Students are not vaccinated unless parents/guardians provide permission through YRPH.
