Hearing Screening at St. Elizabeth Seton –

School Screening Association will be visiting St. Elizabeth Seton to conduct their annual hearing screening clinics to will help identify possible hearing issues.  As part of the program the School Screening Association will refer any results that are not deemed normal to the parents for further testing.  Two ways to have your child’s hearing tested:

  1. You can talk to your child’s doctor and ask for a referral to a Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist (Otolaryngologist) – this service is covered by OHIP.
  2. You can make an appointment with an Audiologist – referral by your family physician is not required. However, if the Audiologist is not in a hospital clinic, the visit may not be covered by OHIP.

The School Screening Association has an online form that can be completed and returned to your child’s teacher. Please fill out and print the form, include the $20.00 fee and return the permission form and fee to the school prior to the clinic date. A copy of the permission form has also been sent home with every child. Payment must be received in the form of cash or cheque (made payable to School Screening Association) on or before Monday, January 27th.
