Luke 4:18

This Advent Season, St. Elizabeth Seton CES will once again continue the tradition of assisting families in need. This year, our Luke 4:18 Committee will be supporting 2 separate organizations as part of our Advent season and our commitment to support our local community. The first initiative involves the collection of new or used winter gear for Belinda’s Place Women’s Shelter. For this initiative we are also for women’s and child’s winter clothing clothing such as jackets, scarves, mittens, gloves, boots, snowsuits etc).

Our second initiative, the Giving Tree initiative asks our community to collect gift cards to support the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Newmarket. The Seton Giving Tree will be located in the school foyer near the office, decorated with tags suggesting gift card amounts and vendors.  Should your family wish to participate, parents are welcomed to take a tag off the tree while visiting the school for parent-teacher interviews on November 14th and 15th. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated. Kindly note that a tag is not required to make a donation.  You may purchase a gift card to any store in a denomination of your choice (suggested stores include WalMart, Superstore and No Frills).  Any amount helps to spread the joy and magic of Christmas to those in our community who need our help.Thank you.
