Asian Heritage Month is celebrated every year by York Catholic schools during the month of May. This celebration allows us to recognize and honour the diverse cultures and contributions of the Asian community and their positive impact on Canada. Asian Heritage Month helps us to appreciate and learn from the unique traditions and perspectives of Canadians of Asian heritage and to understand and respect the diversity within the Church and the richness that such diversity brings to our faith. As a school, and extended community, we are invited to consider the vital role of Asian Canadians in our history during this month and throughout the school year.
